HRIAC

The HRIAC is the result of the approach of two worlds and the materialization of the vision of the first Hellenic Archaeological mission in Alexandria. It is a non-profit organization that has an extensive experience on field work throughout the years because of the continual presence in Alexandria, Egypt the last 20 years. Its expertise and cooperation is not only limited to archaeological aspects but has systematically introduced innovative techniques for the survey and analysis of sites, and design and implementation of appropriate restoration interventions.

Moreover, it has a significant expertise in important excavations, like the Shallalat gardens excavation in Alexandria, which is embedded in the urban matrix of a historic city. Similar to the church of the Holy Sepulchre (the core EDICULA study case), HRIAC brings to the consortium the in-situ experience as well as the transcut with the discipline of archaeology, complementing IAA in this manner.
