National Technical University of Athens has much experience in a wide range of projects that almost always combines practical expertise with engineering research. Professionals with engineering background, and accordingly skills in restoration and rehabilitation procedures proven over many years of practice, are involved in the project.
In addition, NTUA Interdisciplinary Team was responsible for the study and the project of the rehabilitation of the Holy Aedicule of the Holy Sepulchre. This project is at the core of the EDICULA project and is the interconnecting element between the partners. Moreover, NTUA School of Chemical Engineering organizes the Post Graduate Master Program ‘Protection of Monuments’ – Direction ‘Materials and Conservation Interventions’.
It provides advanced education and specialization, develops competencies and skills to solve complex problems, in order to educate researchers and professionals in conservation and restoration of architectural heritage and historic materials.
